Design and print your own letterpress stationery set
Details
After a short introduction to the history of letterpress printing, the best way to learn is by doing! You'll typeset your phrase, name or initials (ie "From the desk of Jane Austen") using antique metal type and print your own custom set of flat notecards and envelopes on our platen tabletop press. Students will have a chance to pick from our selection of polymer plate images for decorating the flaps of their notecards but we will decide on the colour ink as a group. This class makes a great gift for the stationery lover in your life or if you've been curious about the art of letterpress. All materials provided, participants go home with a set of 18 notecards and envelopes. In the event you cannot make the course, please contact us as soon as possible and we will issue you a refund and make your seat available. If it is within 48 hours of the course's first date, unfortunately your fee will be non-refundable. A minimum of 3 students for every course is required for the course to take place, if we don't reach this minimum you'll be issued a full refund.
