In this evening workshop we will make a coptic bound journal using a variety of papers. We will also cover our front and back covers with Japanese papers. Coptic binding is a beautiful binding that shows itself off and is also great for combining signatures of different types of paper. Coptic books lay flat when open. No experience necessary but patience is definitely required! Remember anytime you try something new it may not be perfect the first time, but you'll want to keep practicing this technique and only get better and better. Handouts will be supplied to continue this technique at home. Youth as young as 14 are welcome but should be accompanied by an adult. Cost includes all materials to make one coptic bound journal. We will supply a selection of papers for covering and including for inner pages but feel free to bring some paper of your own if you wish.

In the event you cannot make the course, please contact us as soon as possible and we will issue you a refund and make your seat available. If it is within 48 hours of the course's first date, unfortunately your fee will be non-refundable. A minimum of 3 students for every course is required for the course to take place, if we don't reach this minimum you'll be issued a full refund.
