Have you ever thought about adopting a dog/pet? I find it hilarious how entire litters or intakes of animals are often named by the rescue organization under some theme (ie "disney characters", "colours", or "types of spreads" for example). For this little 8-page bookette (is that word?) I imagined the dogs being named after letterpress tools and with accompanying bios that describe the use of the tool but applying it to the imagined animal's personality. Read a few of the bios on petfinder.com and you'll see where my inspiration came from :)

Our own doggo, Dusty, did contribute to this fine publication in offering some wisdom for the epigraph.
