We use one of these in shop. Super handy if you have a mix of quoins and its bright red colour also makes it easy to find when you inevitably lay it down somewhere… below is the description from our letterpress associate Dry Inc’s website, who designed and produced these tools:
One letterprress tool that always seems to be hard to find...is a quoin key. Vintage quoins are readily available on the secondary market, but not so much with the keys. We set about to make a key—that is really 3 keys! The Dry Lock was created by and manufactured for Dry Inc. in a limited run. They are made with chrome plated steel covered with a bright red plastic handle casing (for ease of finding in a crowded printshop).
